So after gaining some temporary work to tide me over, I have received two calls this morning, of which both are good news. I am majorly chuffed!
I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow: Potential new job, going to the dentist and going to the gym. Last time I will be able to call a day like that a busy day. (Hopefully!!)
I'll be sitting in the garden for the last of the sun now... It's supposed to rain tomorrow :( Boo.
Fingers crossed for me. x

Job Assessments - is this what its come to?
I have a graduate application I need to complete: Psychometric Testing. I have been told the following:
This will be the second one of these I have done in 3 months. Arghh!
I passed my first one, so this shouldn't be a problem! I hope. I haven't worked up the oomph to do it yet maybe during the week. Will keep you posted!
Assessment name | Overall time you will need |
| Verbal and numerical reasoning | 106 minutes |

On this occasion we have received applications from other candidates more suited to the role
How depressing. Lets hope it is just on this occasion So I've had my first email telling me I've been unsuccessful and now I'm annoyed. Despite ranting that no companies have got back to me (which actually includes recruitment consultancies) I now think I would rather have got no reply.
"We are receiving a number of applications per day for this position, and the standard of applications has been very high. On this occasion we have received applications from other candidates more suited to the role."
Ha! What a moaner. I wonder how many rejections does it take to call it a day.
Anyways I need to get an admin job to tide me over for the time being. Hopefully I'll get one of those.

i hope u cn considr me 4 ths position !
My day has consisted of applying for jobs; the usual and having re-read the CV I submitted this morning for job I found many errors. Majorly annoying. One going along the lines of:
"I am a versatile and hardworking individual who would like you to me for the position of..."
Oh dear. I can't be the only one to make these errors? I think its the constant slog of rewriting my CV to fit individual job descriptions.

I've given up hope on that particular vacancy! Better luck next time.

What's in a name..
I've been actively applying for jobs everyday since doing work experience. Yesterday, I came across a serious article outlining the problems of having Facebook, whilst looking for work, so I now have changed my name on Facebook hoping this will sort out the problem. Fingers Crossed.

Wanting a job and being almost there....
So it's week 2 on my journey to, what I like to call: "Sorting my life out."
I left my job just over a week ago to pursue a career in Marketing and Pr, to help along my cv I am now doing some work experience with a marketing department for a scientific company.
When I left university a year ago I avoided the "unpaid work experience route" however I have found this is the only way. Whilst researching jobs and their criteria as well as feedback from interviews it seems I am lacking digital experience, with this in mind, I decided to immerse myself into Blogging and Twitter, along with understanding more about online marketing. Not only will it help develop my skills it could also help me find a job according to the Craig Wilson: mediahunter. Whose blog is definitely worth a read.
I would definitely say I have worked hard since leaving university but in the wrong disciplines, so work experience is the way forward. Although I'm lacking money and experience at the moment, it's got to be worthwhile right?
